This is just a short update to everyone out there.. or the no ones out there. We have had to put our adoption process on hold for the time being.
Due to what I went through when I was younger I have finally had the courage to speak up about this which is leading to a process which means that we need to focus fully on this for the time being.
Hopefully we will be able to come out of this period stronger and even more prepared to adopt

Week 19 TToT
Time to hop on to the blog train... hehe
2. My hubby who has been looking after me this week while I've been feeling grotty, even though he has been feeling under the weather himself. As a thank you we went out for a nice meal
3. Time in with my hubby, it's not something that we usually get during term time because of the mountain of marking that my poor hubby usually has, so to be able to to have a take away was nice
4. Understanding from work. I came home on Tuesday during the day because I was properly ill. I was supposed to be working Wednesday and Thursday but they understood that I was very unwell and needed the rest to recover, which on Friday I felt a lot better and so was back to work today.
5. My wonderful friends who were all very concerned when I was sickly.
I can't get 10 done as I'm at work...

1. GP's this week I am thankful that my GP is aware that I am a nurse and so am well aware of my signs and symptoms, so I spoke to my GP about the evil cold/flu thing that I'd had for the past 3 weeks, so I spoke to him and he prescribed me some antibiotics for the chest infection that I have, which was good... however I then had to phone him the next day and get a different lot of antibiotics as I had a reaction to the first dose, he was more than understanding and had the prescription ready for me to pick up within 30 minutes.

Week 18 ttot
Week 18 in the ten things of thankful blog hop.... The world is continuing to spin and the bloggers are tapping away at their key boards to meet the demands of their adoring fans. So without further ado here are my ten things of thankful (I think)
1 and 2. Bed, Oh I was so glad to have my bed last night when I got in from work, I'd had a day of hell at work, it was a nightmare shift, so when I got in and saw my bed I was very tempted to forget the chinese that I'd brought and go straight to bed... but I didn't, (2) the chinese was very tastey and worth delaying getting into bed.
3,4 and 5. the fan, I know this sounds mental especially to those who are in the UK and have noticed the drop in temperature but I still have to have it on when I'm going to bed if only because I need the background noise, but also because (4) my hubby seems to run at a temperature close to boiling point at night time so it also serves a second point of cooling the room down enough so I can actually (5) sleep... which in itself is always something to be glad of being able to get, having gone through periods of not sleeping at all (something which has been happening lately with all the stuff going through my mind)
I'm struggling to find another 5 things, mainly because I've been working stupid amounts of hours this week and I've got stupid amounts of hours this week coming as well. I shall put a pretty picture here for you to look at... (and when you have you can go over to one of the many other amazing bloggers who have made ten on their lists)

ttot 17
This week has been exhausting. Last weekend I worked the whole weekend (but still managed to post) and then this week I've done a further 36 hours (it started to go up from here on, the next month I have a minimum of 48 hours a week with at least one 60 hour week in there) however this isn't why I was quite so exhausted it has mainly been down the the fact that I've had some kind of evil flu/cold thing this week which reared it's ugly head on tuesday and has been making everything two times harder than they actually were...
Monday: I woke up surprisingly early and full of life and so made my way off to the gym where I did my gruelling gym work out and then did an aqua aerobic class. That afternoon I had an appointment with the SW... which well the less said about it the better. I'm still thinking about what I'm going to do with her ultimatum.
Tuesday: I felt fine in the morning and this was all going really well, I went to the gym did the work out and then did a body combat class (which is actually really good and it's something that I will be looking out for to be able to go to again... I then met up with a friend in the local town for a cup of tea and a natter (up until this point I was feeling fine) and then I came home and sat down to relax and it hit me, oh my I suddenly felt horrendous, so I sent a text off to say I wouldn't be at brownies and then battled through about an hour od D&D before admitting defeat and went to bed.
Wednesday: Work... admittedly I was tempted to phone in sick, but I went to work and worked my butt off... I felt terrible and that it was a struggle to actually get through but I did and I was very proud to actually have stuck with it. I was however knackered by the time I got home and so went to bed pretty much once I got in.
Thursday: I woke up and was feeling a bit better, which was all some evil fast of my body, I was fine until I got to work when the heat from the building hit me, this was the main problem, so full on cold and flu symptoms hit (which isn't good when working with frail elderly people) so I struggled on for the rest of the day and managed to get through. Getting home to fish and chips with my wonderful hubby...
Friday: Work again, but it was a non uniform day and there were only two of us (nurses in) when there should have been 3, so I had to cover two units (55 people) on my own, given that I've only been working there for 3 weeks this was a task and a half, I'm pretty quick on picking up faces and putting them to names, but this was an ask and a half, I was very thankful for the staff members being around and being able to help me identify the right person when doing the meds. The day was hectic, I was literally running around for the majority of the day, and having an admission really didn't help either.
Saturday: I'm relaxing.. lol with my hubby, we are trying to sort out what we are doing this evening but having actually got it sorted yet...
I know it's not exactly 10 but it's a run down of the mentalness that has been my week... for more conventional 10 things click on one of the links below =D

disheartened...
I wish I had happier news to write today but I don't think I do...
Just had another hour and a half meeting with the SW...
Her comment: "It doesn't look positive for the panel"
I felt like saying to her why are we bothering then? Why sit here and make me go through all this stuff for the umpteeth time and not just say no now...
but alas she made me go through it... and has pretty much given me an ultimatum... which really does suck but I guess it is something that I have to do but apparently should have done a long time ago....
Also made me think about my family... which was actually very difficult... She also told me that I come across as impassive that I don't show emotion when talking about my past... and when I'm trying to talk about why my parents did what they did... I don't actually know how I'm supposed to show more emotion when doing this.
She's also moaning about the fact that she is having to prompt me... (well I'm sorry for not knowing what she wants me to say before she has said something)
Feeling less that encouraged to continue this process...
